Legendary Entertainment teamed up with YouTube for an industry first project in content creation.
YouTube Space Los Angeles was transformed into four independent Godzilla-themed sets, providing the backdrop for You Tube’s top talent to create original videos that celebrate the iconic King Of The Monsters.
YouTube creators could write, shoot and edit Godzilla inspired videos to appear on their own channels and be broadcast to millions of followers. Supporting this, the films would be displayed on the official Legendary YouTube channel and would be promoted on Godzilla and Warner Bros social media pages. The videos went live from May 8, leading up to the film’s theatrical release on May 16, 2014.
